This academic year, the following students from Form 5 are taking part in one of Hong Kong’s premiere debating competitions, the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition: Oscar Fung, Lam King Hei and Jeff Tse.
For this round of the competition, the topic was: “That the Hong Kong Government should significantly increase financial incentives for families to have more children”.
Held on 8th November, 2016, our students debated against Queen’s College, and won!
We now move on to the third round of the competition. A win in this round should see our Senior English Debating Team move into the quarter finals.
Also present on the day to assist with the organization and running of the debate were Norman Wan and Fung Yiu Cho from Form 4, acting as Chairperson and timekeeper respectively.
Good luck to our team in the next round!
