In raising students’ awareness of environmental protection and conservation with enhanced participation, the Environmental Education Committee has organized different kinds of environmental protection schemes and activities. They are the Student Environmental Protection Ambassador Scheme, the Green School Subsidy Scheme, the One-Person-One-Flower Scheme, Green Christmas Campaign and Earth Hour 2015.
Our Green School Subsidy Scheme
In the Student Environmental Protection Ambassador Scheme, our students not only developed their sense of responsibility and leadership skills, they also applied what they had learnt in school. They helped separate leftovers, plastic lunch boxes and aluminium cans for disposal during lunch-time while others recycled the collected leftovers with the composting machine.
Our teachers and some of ambassadors used the compost to grow vegetables such as lettuce, cucumber, corn and even water melon in the Micro-garden located on the roof of the Annex.

An Environmental Corner is set up in the library to provide the latest information to arouse environmental awareness. In widening students' horizons, different interesting eco-tours were arranged such as visiting Mai Po Marshes.
