The Education Bureau (EDB) and the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) have announced the latest arrangements for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE). Please note the following:
- The Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE)
The HKEAA has confirmed that all examinations originally scheduled before 27th March will be postponed. Please refer to the appendix for the postponement of SBA deadlines, speaking examinations of language subjects and practical examinations. For examinations on and after 27th March, the EDB has announced two contingency plans. Final decisions and arrangements will be announced by the end of February.
- Arrangement of F6 end-of-year assessments ‘at home’
In order to allow F6 students to receive feedback from teachers before the HKDSE for better preparation and to enrich their experiences of attempting ‘mock exams’, the end-of-year assessments will be arranged as follows.
Assessment papers and related materials will be sent to F6 students on or before 14th February. As instructed by their teachers the date and time allowed, students have to complete the assessments ‘at home’ from 19th to 27th February. Teachers will mark the answer scripts sent back to them by digital means. Please inform the school office by 11th February (4:00 pm), if there has been a change in home address.
Class teachers and subject teachers will keep in contact with students by various means (e.g. Instant message apps, email and intranet mail). Through such, suitable guidance, support and encouragement can be provided. Teachers will also discuss with students their performance in the end-of-year assessments (including both papers assessed before the Chinese New Year holidays and those attempted ‘at home’).
